Project: NIDA Furniture Replica Project
Design by: @deadly_chairs
Materials: Welded 25 x 25 x 1.6mm mild steel, upholstered in red velvet fabric.
Several steel joints and angles were cut from 25x25mm steel beams to make each leg and armrest, as well as the body frame
a jig for the legs, body frame, and armrests was created so that I could place the cut pieces into place to weld them to the exact angle.
I welded the frame first and then each individual leg before attaching them all to the body frame, I then welded the armrests and fangs and attached them to the body
The chair was assembled and then with an angle grinder I cleaned up the visible welds, I then primed it and painted it black.
Finally, I upholstered the seat of the chair and drilled it into place
