CLAWS
Materials: PLA filament, foam clay, acrylic paint, plastic vines, calico
I started by 3D printing an altered template of wearable finger extensions
I then sculpted foam bark-like textures and shapes around each finger as well as additional spikes with foam clay before priming and painting them with acrylic paints
Then, I glued plastic vines and leaves onto the fingers before coating it with shellac and fake blood for a final scenic
Finally, with the help of the costumes department, calico wrist bandages were attached to the claw hand and weathered with dirt, paint and shellac
nata
Materials: MDF, wooden dowel, string, leather
I started by gluing two tapered edged blocks of MDF together for the blade, it was sanded and painted black and dry brushed with silver
I then cut a 6mm strip down the dowel so that the blade could be slotted in, i glued it into place with two part epoxy resin before tying the string around it
Leather was wrapped around the bottom of the dowel and a wooden ring was attached at the bottom of the handle
Finally, the sword was weathered with dirt, shellac and fake blood.
Boar tusk charm
Materials: photopolymer resin, acrylic paint, string
I started by resin printing a boar tusk pendant
I then primed and painted it with acrylic paints, and dry brushed the steel cap with silver
Then, I attached the string through the cap before finally weathering it with shellac and dirt.
