Project: NIDA Miniature Film Project
Details: Stop Motion Film inspired by the work of Walter Wick
Materials: Miscellaneous, entire project created from found scraps, rubbish and plastic
I started by laying out every scrap i had found so I could begin to brainstorm the making of my protagonist, I constructed him entirely out of scraps I had found years ago and used twisted wire as supports for his armature.
For the making of the Space scene, I used polystyrene and melted it down with acetone for a rough rocky texture, I then coated it in sand and tiny pebbles before painting it with acrylic paints
The blue room was made from cardboard and vaccformed plastic to create the windows, the scene as well as the assorted decorations were painted with silver and white spray-paint
Finally, for the final room, I found an MDF board and cut it into a semi-circle shape and found a piece of bendable plastic sheet to use as the wall, both were painted with acrylic paints.
The film was shot in stop motion using Dragonframe and it was edited in Premier Pro
